GS-Dash was designed to show everything sampled by AiM's newer EVO6 and EVO6L loggers — data from the vehicle's ECU, from GPS, from sensors and from the inertial platform — and it is also compatible with the earlier EVO5 and EVO4S.
Despite its compact size, GS-Dash carries a wide 268 x 128 pixel display for good readability, backlit in one of seven colours, with a built-in light sensor that keeps brightness and contrast right in any conditions.
Up to 9 fully customisable pages, each with up to 8 fields, let the driver choose what's shown. An 'RPM and Lap Time' layout displays an RPM graph, lap time and three channels of the driver's choice, and lap times can show a rolling time or a static or predictive time, absolute or against the best lap.
Five individually configurable RGB shift lights (colour and threshold) can also be set to show the best lap or split time, or to monitor RPM; alarm LEDs are configurable for trigger condition, blink frequency and colour, and switch-off condition, all set through RaceStudio 3.
At the end of a session, a summary shows the three best laps with times, minimum and maximum speed and RPM, plus a full list of every lap. From the keyboard the driver can toggle the backlight, pick a track from the 30 nearest automatically suggested, check the firmware version or clear stored EVO6/EVO6L memory.
The compact, tough chassis suits tight installs such as bikes and single-seaters: an aluminium body, edge-to-edge glass and metallic pushbuttons make it robust and fully waterproof.
