- Not compatible with MXL2, MXS and MXG
ACC3 comes in two versions: the standard ACC3, wired to AiM devices (not compatible with MXL2, MXS or MXG), and ACC3 Open, which links to other devices over USB CAN.
Both manage up to 4 analog inputs at up to 1 kHz each — thermocouples, thermoresistances, 0-5V or 0-12V signals — plus 2 speed inputs with internal pull-up for open-drain/collector sensors. Anything from thermocouples to 0-12V output devices can be wired in, with thermocouples needing dedicated compensated cables and a choice of split-harness kits.
Channels are configured to match the sensor type once the right split harness is chosen; both versions support up to four K-type thermocouples.
ACC3 Open connects to a PC over its own USB cable, letting a CAN Output be built to talk to external devices (bit-rate, protocol, message fields and CAN payload); it can also work as a standard AiM Expansion with no restriction.
Both versions can be wired to Eclipse sensors, and data from AiM's linear potentiometers can be handled through the Suspension Analysis Tool in RaceStudio 3.
