MXm is the entry-level dash logger in AiM's range, showing racers everything they need — speed, lap times, RPM, gear, several math channels and more. Its main strengths are a small footprint that fits almost any car or bike, and straightforward plug-and-play installation.
MXm and MXq are closely related; the difference lies in their analog input and digital input/output counts. MXm has 4 fully configurable analog inputs, 3 digital inputs (2 speed inputs plus 1 low-level coil RPM input reading a 0-5V square wave) and 2 high-side digital outputs.
An integrated GPS carrying more than 4,000 circuits recognises the track automatically and starts sampling lap times on its own; RaceStudio 3's Track Manager lets tracks be added, edited, deleted or exchanged with the device.
Two power outputs, each able to draw up to 15 A, can switch lights, cooling fans or circulation pumps on or off automatically based on analog or digital input values.
MXm can be paired with AiM expansions such as GPS09c, ACC3 and the LCU Series, and with SmartyCam 4 for video overlay.
