From there, its PTFE core is forced into three internal grooves that double as sealing o-rings and let the fitting turn freely yet securely after swaging. This keeps the hose sound while letting installers rotate the fitting in place to dial in the fitment. Inside the ferrule, a locking groove engages a channel on the fitting so that, once swaged, the fitting cannot come away from the hose.
