Extreme heatsleeve protects hose and wiring at temperatures of up to 1200°C (2200°F), and is built for use across motorsport and automotive applications.
Heatsleeve insulates wiring and hoses against radiant heat, such as that coming off an exhaust system or manifold. Covering fuel lines, coolant hoses, wiring looms and other components with it helps stop them melting, which can otherwise lead to engine or electrical failures.
Made from heat-treated braided fibreglass yarn with a high-grade silicone rubber coating, this heatsleeve is self-extinguishing, making it a good choice where short-term flame protection is needed. It has a little stretch, so it can go over hose slightly larger than its stated inside diameter, though the fit will be tight - if in doubt, going up a size gives an easier fit.
Heatsleeve is sold per metre, in a single uncut length running up to 20 metres.
