This oil filter relocation kit improves access to a spin-on style oil filter. In tight engine swaps and compact bays, particularly AWD and RWD conversions, it lets the filter be mounted at a preferred remote location, speeding up oil changes and servicing.

The remote head has four M22 x 1.5 threaded inlet and outlet ports, and the take-off plate has two; both adapt easily to -8 (AN08) or -10 (AN10) male fittings and suit numerous AN hose and fitting options. The four ports on the remote head allow oil to be fed and returned from the left, right, or across the head, and spare ports can take a sensor via an M22 x 1.5 to 1/8" NPT adapter. The take-off plate has a low, slim profile to clear chassis components and ancillaries, and is offered with M20 x 1.5, M22 x 1.5, or 3/4"-16 UNF centre bolt threads, fitting filters with an o-ring diameter of 56mm (2.20") to 72mm (2.83").

This Classic Mini oil filter head improves the strength, sealing and look of the spin-on filter housing. It sits closer to the block than standard, for a tighter, stronger fit, and the mounting base is larger, cutting the risk of oil seeping out and improving the seal. A 1/4" NPT female thread accepts the OE oil transfer line on pre-1992 models and is also compatible with HEL's braided stainless steel Classic Mini Oil Transfer Line.

It can also suit post-1992 models (12A engine), provided the HEL oil transfer line is ordered with the matching 11/16" option.

This suits both standard and modified engines. Reducing oil and sludge build-up keeps inlet air cleaner, which lowers hydrocarbon emissions and reduces the risk of power loss from a reduced effective fuel octane rating.

This breather plate takes the place of the standard PCV unit, cutting the amount of oil vapour reaching the intake system.

The Ford Fiesta MK8 ST attracted HEL's attention after the success of its Focus RS and Yaris GR direct-fit oil catch can kits. HEL's aim was to design easy-to-install kits requiring little or no modification.

HEL dismantled the front end of a Fiesta and 3D laser-scanned the engine bay and components to establish fitment. Using the OEM mounting points, a bracket was designed and prototyped before the final aluminium version was produced. Brackets are laser-cut, folded to precise tolerances and finished in powder-coated black for a factory-style look.

An oil catch can separates oil and water residue, cutting the aerated oil and carbon deposits that build up in the PCV system. Cleaner air between the crankcase and intake manifold can lower hydrocarbon emissions and support engine performance.

The kit is supplied with pre-assembled high-flow silicone hoses and aluminium fittings, including quick-connect fittings matching the OE crankcase inlet and outlet, for straightforward fitting. An anodised red dipstick allows contaminant levels in the catch can to be checked, and an accessible drain plug allows collected deposits to be removed.

A catch can helps stop oil and other contaminants building up as sludge in the intake manifold. Fitted into the crankcase breather system, it separates oil and water residue for cleaner inlet air, which may support engine performance and reduce hydrocarbon emissions.

Machined from solid billet aluminium with custom knurling, this compact two-piece can has a removable aluminium baffle for oil condensing and a stainless wire separator, rather than the wire wool used in some catch cans.

Checking Sludge Levels

An anodised red dipstick allows oil levels to be checked, and a drain plug allows sludge to be removed quickly.

Build Your Own System

This catch can is supplied without hose or fittings, allowing a fully custom system to be built. Both inlet and outlet ports use common -10 AN JIC threads, compatible with a broad range of adapters, hose and fittings.

Fitting the Bracket

A custom aluminium bracket is included, allowing it to be fixed securely at any point in the engine bay.
