The Mini VTM is Vortex's CIK-FIA homologated engine for the single, internationally regulated MINI class. According to Vortex, its head, cylinder, crankcase, crankshaft and exhaust were all designed from scratch for this engine, with extra cooling surface built into the castings and revised port and transfer geometry. Vortex also bores the paired crankcases as an added production step, aimed at tighter quality control and more consistent performance.
