Rotax built the 125 Micro MAX Evo MY20 as an entry point for young drivers new to karting. According to Rotax, its 9.5 hp output and healthy torque make the engine forgiving of early mistakes on track, so a session usually only stops when the tank needs a refill.
CIK-FIA homologation covers this engine, which Rotax lists across Leisure, Club, national and international race classes. The bare unit weighs 11.8 kg (26.0 lbs), rising to 21.5 kg (47.5 lbs) with the complete power pack fitted, and the standard chassis takes a 950 mm wheelbase.
